Kalpana Soren participated in Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra on its concluding event at Chaitya Bhoomi, Dr. B R Ambedkar's memorial on Sunday. Several eminent figures from cultural and social backgrounds accompanied Gandhi during the padyatra. 

The rally at the end of the Rahul Gandhi-led Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra in Mumbai's famed Shivaji Park today was a show of strength for the INDIA bloc, with, Kalpana Soren, wife of Ex CM Hemant Soren, who is in jail in the alleged money laundering linked with a land scam. She was not the only ally of the Congress who represented the JMM. 

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav and SP chief Akhilesh also took part. Before flying to Mumbai, Kalpana Soren used the social media platform X to share her emotional sentiments. 

It’s 45 days since Hemantji was in jail, she wrote adding that whenever she meets her husband Hemant Soren once a week, the latter seeks information about the state and asked her to take care of family members, her two sons, Baba( father- Shibu Soren) and Maa( Roopi Soren).
