Rs 40,000 worth of Road projects are being undertaken by the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) in Jharkhand and around Rs 2,500 crore is being spent on the Bharatamala project. 

Jharkhand state government-sponsored road projects covering a total distance of 4,600km are currently underway in the state, it is learnt.

Already 5,200km of roads have been constructed and 95 percent of the budget allotments have been utilized in the past four years, according to the state roads department.

After the Modi 3.0 government took charge on Monday, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari inaugurated two National Highway projects worth Rs 3,390 crore in Bihar's Buxar.
