Adani Foundation has adopted 80 TB patients and distributed nutrition kits to them during a programme organized at the Community Health Centre premises in Barka gaon, Hazaribagh under the Gondalpura mining project. 

All these patients were provided with the third phase nutrition kits under the ‘Pradhan Mantri Nikshay Poshan Yojana’. Each kit contains Chawanpras, Argar dal( pulse), chana( chick pea),Gud( jaggery),mung (green gram),sarso ka tel(mustard oil) and Horlicks. 

Under ‘Pradhan Mantri Nikshay Poshan Yojana’, each TB patient was provided nutritious meal during six month period of treatment. At the time of handing over nutrition kits to these TB patients, all of them took oath to make TB free India.  

Medical Officer in-charge of Barkagaon, Dr. Avinash Kumar said in the programme that Adani Foundation is continuously providing nutrition kits to TB patients, which is highly commendable. 

Dr Kumar appealed to patients to consume these nutrition kits and said that awareness about TB is need of the hour. 

This disease can be cured soon by eating nutritious food. Kumar requested villagers to get the TB test done regularly to detect it early. This can help patient recover quickly from diagnosis.
