A distinguished team of students from the National University of Study and Research in Law (NUSRL) has emerged as semi-finalist in the FDI International Arbitration Moot 2024 (South Asia Round).

The team, comprising Sarthak Kumar, Lisa Gupta, Suryansh Singh, Eylah Singh, and Abhinav Shukla, will now represent the university on the international stage in Berlin.

By excelling in the regional rounds of the competition, the team has secured a place among the top four and is set to participate in the international round scheduled from November 1 to 4, 2024.

The students have not only brought glory to their university but have also elevated the nation's standing in this prestigious competition. They addressed complex legal issues, including gradual clarification, third-party funding, cost protection, and the power to draw adverse inferences.

Vice Chancellor Dr. Prof. Ashok R. Patil expressed his pride, saying, "The talent of our students is now becoming evident. Their hard work is yielding results, and I have full confidence that they will continue to excel.

On behalf of the entire university community, I extend my best wishes for their outstanding performance and hope they return victorious."

Moot Court Coordinator and Assistant Professor, Ms. Soni Bhola said, "Our team has worked tirelessly to make their mark on this international platform. All members collaborated closely in their research, and any doubts they had were resolved with the guidance of our faculties.

Their success is not just a reflection of individual talent, but also of the excellent environment and collaborative spirit fostered at our university."

The NUSRL students’ team is not only making a mark in the field of legal education but is also carving a niche for itself on the international stage.
