Security forces are on high alert as the state of Jharkhand is celebrating the Independence day on August 15, 2018. As of now, peace prevails across the state and all towns, cities, blocks, and villages appear to be in grip of nationalism.
The patriotic songs such as Vande Matram...,Jhanda Ucha Rahe Hamara ...and dances rent the air. The dances and parades were performed by the Army, Police, NCC cadets and school students. These, in fact, marked the Independence day function in Jharkhand.
However, to maintain law and order, the entry into the city from all roads has been blocked. Vehicles are not allowed to come to Ranchi after 6 am on Wednesday. The highways were barricaded at Boriya, Birsa Chowk, Kathal More, ITI, Over Bridge, Kusai Ghagra, Chandani Chowk and Booty More.
The movement of vehicles was not allowed on the road between Karam Toli Chowk and Residence of the Deputy Commissioner with a certified pass. The road between Red Cross and Dada-Dadi Park is declared as no parking zone in Morahabadi where Chief Minister Raghubar Das is to hoist the national flag.
The state government has issued cards of two types. The vehicles with white colour cards are allowed to park behind the central dais where the VVIPs including the CM, CS and DGP are scheduled to stand. The orange colour and green colour pass carrying vehicles are allowed to be parked in the western side of the Morahabadi ground and in front of the Mahatma Gandhi statue.
