A female cop is under the radar of the Enforcement Directorate. It’s sleuths launched raids at the premises of Meera Singh, Officer- in- Charge of Tupudana police station in Ranchi on Thursday morning. 

The raids were going on at her premises in connection with her suspected link in the money laundering of the land scam in which ex -CM Hemant Soren and others were accused. 

Meera Singh, who is a 2012 batch Sub-Inspector of the Jharkhand, police, has been considered close to the top brass of the JMM. So much so that her transfer order issued by the DGP was withdrawn. 

Moreover, BJP leader Babulal Marandi and ex-CM Raghubar Das are on record as having demanded administrative action on charges of corruption against her. 

A couple of cases are still going on against her in the Jharkhand High Court and the National Human Rights Commission.
