A massive fire broke out in a godown in Klashik Motors located along National Highway near Deoghar located in the jurisdiction area of MGM police station in Jamshedpur on Tuesday. 

The civic body said that the Jamshedpur Fire Brigade brought under control the blaze that had destroyed the godown. Responding to information about the fire in his godown, Ahmad Siddiqi reached the spot. 

After getting information about the fire, seven fire brigade teams accompanied by Tata Steel and Tata Motors reached the site and had successfully extinguished the fire. The MGM police station team also reached the spot. 

The officials said that the Jamshedpur Fire Brigade responded promptly to the call. The incident was reported as a Level II fire. The fire was confined to an area of approximately 2500 sq. ft on both the loft and ground floor of the godown. 

The affected area included electric wiring, electric installations, an AC unit, a stock of clothes, sewing machines, cloth painting machines, computers, wooden furniture, and office records. 

 The cause of the fire is not known. There was no casualty in the fire incident.
