The Jharkhand High Court on Friday rejected the bail petition and interim bail petitions of Virendra Ram and his father Genda Ram and wife Rajkumari Devi. 

While suspended Chief Engineer Virendra had sought bail, his father Genda Ram and wife Rajkumari Devi had sought interim bail. 

The bench of Justice Anil Kumar Choudhary heard arguments of both sides-petitioners and ED- and Genda Ram and wife Rajkumari Devi and refused to grant bail and anticipatory bail to Virendra Ram and anticipatory bail to Genda Ram and wife Rajkumari Devi respectively. 

 On February 22, 2923 the ED had arrested former chief engineer Virender Ram in the disproportionate assets case. A day before this, on February 21, the ED had raided 24 locations of Virendra Ram. 

During the raid, the ED had recovered documents related to investments worth crores in several cities of the country, including jewelry worth about one and a half crores.
