When Narendra Modi will take oath inside the Rashtrapati Bhawan in New Delhi on Sunday evening, top heads of states of neighbouring countries will grace the occasion. 

So will ASP Tirkey, a loci- pilot working with the Ranchi Railway Division of the South Eastern Raileays. He flew to New Delhi on Friday to attend the swearing- in ceremony of the Prime Minister - elect Narendra Modi on June 9.  

Tirkey, a Ranchi resident and Adivasi, who has been serving in the Indian Railways since 1990, is among 10 loco- pilots, who operate the Vande Bharat trains. He was selected from across the country by the Ministry of Railways to attend the historic event- PM elect Narendra Modi taking oath. 

Notably, Tirkey who is considered as a fine pilot, is the only one to be selected from South Eastern Railways zone. Enquiry revealed that Tirkey is an Intermediate and ITI- Graduate. He was promoted to the rank of loco pilot in 1987. 

 Now, Tirkey is logo pilot of the semi high speed train- Vande Bharat Express and has been operating Vande Bharat trains connecting Howrah and Varanasi and Ranchi.
