Who stayed in jail for 149 days, to come out of jail soon Basant Soren, Minister and younger brother of ex-CM Hemant Soren has responded to the Jharkhand High Court’s order granting bail to him and reached the PMLA court in Ranchi.

While granting bail to Hemant Soren, the high court had directed him to submit two bail - bonds of Rs 50,000 each. The order of the court was uploaded on its website and provided its copy to the PMLA ( Prevention of Money Laundering Act) court.

In response, these two bail bonds were submitted at the PMLA court by two bailers -Basant Soren and Kumar Saurabh. Now, as per the legal procedure, after the court’s notification showing receipt of two bail bonds is issued, Birsa Munda Central jail authority will receive it and release Hemant Soren anytime today.

Soren was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate in Ranchi on January 31,2024. In all, he was behind the high walls for 149 days.
