Avinash Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary, Energy, is appointed as Additional Chief Secretary to Chief Minister Hemant Soren. 

The state personnel department issued notification toward this end after Hemant Soren took the oath of office as Chief Minister at Raj Bhawan on Thursday ( July 4, 2024). 

Notably, minutes before Hemant Soren was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate on January 31,the same senior IAS officer Avinash Kumar was removed as the Additional Chief Secretary of the Home Department of the Jharkhand government. 

And Chief Secretary L Khiangte was ordered to hold the additional charge of the Home, Jail, and Disaster Management Department.
