Rahul Kumar, a school teacher, was running from pillar to post to get himself transferred from Hazaribagh to Chatra.

He managed to meet and entered into a  deal with an authority who could order issuance of his transfer. The deal involved payment of 50: 50 fund before and after notification of the transfer order.

The teacher paid the first instalment and waited for the transfer order. Days and weeks past. Desperate teacher went to meet the authority. The authority refused to even meet him.

Frustrated teacher wrote a letter to his wife saying that he was defrauded by the authority.

“Twenty four years ago, whenever I paid bribe sum to an authority of Bihar, my work was done. Unfortunately, the scene was no longer the same in Jharkhand where the said authority takes the bribe and forgets”, he wrote in his letter.

Cribbing about his plight, Rahul Kumar, who himself is an Adivasi, said that none of the politicians are trustworthy.

Even the ongoing journey of ex CM Champai Soren from Kolkata to New Delhi, reported as the intra -party feud generating speculation that he along with a group of MLAs of the ruling party were on the way to oppose the Soren government, appears to be a plan to expose the BJP.

As per the reported Soren plan, the party name ‘JMM’ was reportedly removed from the X ( previously Twitter) platform of former CM Champai Soren.

Also, the green JMM flag which was visible at his official residence was reportedly missing now. Is it true that ex CM Champai Soren and a group of JMM MLAs are in the process to revolt against the CM Hemant Soren led JMM?

Rahul Kumar opined that “ all actions of Soren’s suggest, that they were out to keep the BJP high command busy over their fabricated and fake gestures and words and fool them during the crucial pre election days.

“They will take the bribe money and ditch them before or after polls”, said Rahul.

What Rahul Kumar thinks is not baseless in Jharkhand where there are a number of MLAs who get ready to enter into deals with BJP before polls, only to ditch it.

In any case, in Jharkhand, the motif is jungle, hill, forest, and waterfall. Many leaders are described in terms of their relationship with these “ Jal, Jungle and Jamin ”.

In Singhbhum tribal belt, Champai Soren is widely projected by the ruling JMM as the “Tiger of Kolhan”.

In fact, Tiger of Kolhan is a tribute to his past as a loyal worker of JMM supremo Shibu Soren and a prominent activist of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, who fought long and hard for statehood.

"In the pre Bihar days, when movement was going on for creation of a separate state of Jharkhand, whenever he was wanted by the police, he went underground. No one was ever sure where he would emerge from: The forest or from behind a waterfall. Hence the name: The Tiger of Kolhan”, thinks a JMM leader.

Now,the same Champai Soren alias Tiger of Kolhan, may be a ploy being used by the CM Hemant Soren to defeat the BJP in the forthcoming assembly polls 2024.
