It’s time for setting up a coordination committee to discuss the seat-sharing formula within I.N.D.I.allies in Jharkhand.
This became evident after two activities of the Congress party leaders. One, the announcement was made by AICC secretary Saptagiri Shankar Ulaka, who is also the Jharkhand co-incharge that a coordination committee will be formed after discussions with our general secretary.
Two the party’s state incharge Gulam Ahmad Mir met party leaders last night and this morning in New Delhi and landed in Ranchi on Monday.
The committee is expected to deal with the seat-sharing issue for the Assembly polls. The committee will decide the seats the JMM and other parties that would contest under the banner of the I.N.D.I.A bloc in the 81-MLAs strong Assembly.
The JMM led by Chief Minister Hemant Soren is learnt to be determined to formulate the seat-sharing arrangement in such a way that it is a win-win situation for all the allies in order to win the Assembly polls.
The Jharkhand Assembly elections are scheduled to be held later this year. The Congress had contested 31 out of the 81 seats in the 2019 polls in alliance with the JMM and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD).
