Far away from Mahsi Tehsil area of Bahraich in Uttar Pradesh, lies Binja Bhejbona village under Budmu block in Ranchi district in Jharkhand where wolf menace has surfaced.
Two villagers - Bahura Ganjhu(40) and Baija Bhuinya(60) were attacked by wild wolfs. Both were injured.
They were being treated by village doctors, a report said.
From available information, when Ganjhu and Bhuiyan had gone to the forest with their herds of goats for grazing grass, wolves launched an attack on them. As a result, they yelled.
“Before fleeing, these wolves injured them”, said a report. The villagers rescued them as well as the goats.
This is the first incident of wolf menace in this state of Jharkhand. In the past few months, 10 people, including nine children, have been killed in wolf attacks in the Mahsi Tehsil area of Bahraich.
Out of these fatalities, seven took place within a 47-day period between July 17 and September 2.
