A piece of positive news from Dhanbad is that it has acquired Rs 170 crore worth National Power Grid in Govindpur.With this Grid becoming operational on Wednesday.

This Grid was inaugurated by Chief Minister Raghubar Das in Dhanbad. With this Grid becoming functional today, Jharkhand area comprising Dhanbad and Koylanchal that were connected with this Grid will get power from the national grid and thereby will no longer be dependent only on power supplied by Damodar Valley Corporation.
