Reeling under shock and grief over the death of 17-year old boy-Rupesh Swasi in police custody at Bundu police station in Ranchi district on Friday,many people have expressed their anger against the police in Jharkhand.

At Bundu,some family members were in tears.”We have lost our boy.We want justice aganist the police men who had beaten him to death for no fault of his”,said Sudhir Swasi,a relative of Rupesh.

Many other family members and angry people on Saturday blocked Ranchi-Jamshedpur National Highway-33 near Bundu.They had blocked the highway by putting up the body of Rupesh Swasi with his parents crying nearby.

This had paralysed the traffic for hours.

The police was trying to restore traffic.”Hope,we succeed”,said a senior police officer at 6.15 P.M.on Saturday.
