‘Atithi Devo Bhava’(The guest is equivalent to God).With this Sanskrit dictum,Jharkhand government led by Chief Minister Raghubar Das is out to welcome Shiva devotees(Kanwariyas) at the Baba Baidyanath temple in Deoghar.

Both the State government as well as district administration in Deoghar are looking forward to provide facilities to the devotees. In fact,Jharkhand Tourism Department has made 11 Tourist Information Centres (TICs) for the convenience of tourists .

A report from the state government claimed that the TICs will provide the services.”These services are related to hotels, Vehicle booking , First aid etc ,said Minister Tourism,Amar Kumar Bauri on the inauguration of Tourist Information Centre at Deoghar on Tuesday.

While addressing the media Bauri said that the state government has worked on every single aspect to make the religious event successful. “Team of 170 Doctors with 50 ambulance service are deputed for emergency”,he said.

From security point of view the administration has installed 200 LED bulbs.More,two divers are deployed with two boats at Shivganga. 20 temporary police stations , 14 general police stations, 6 traffic police stations are made between Dumma to Baba temple and 40 DSPs, 76 Inspectors are be deputed for 24X7 service.

On this auspicious occasion Director, Jharkhand Tourism Department, Shri Prasad Krishna Waghmare said that Department has made 11 TICs across the State. 7 in Deoghar, 3 TICs in Ranchi and 1 in Sultanganj, Bihar.

To promote other tourist destination of the State, the Department in collaboration with local tour and travel agency started a bus service for the tourist which will take them to various tourist sites. We are trying our best to make Shravani Mela a big success.

Joint Director , Jharkhand Tourism Department, Shri Rajeev Ranjan Said that After a long effort and hard work, the department is providing an opportunity to the kanwariyas to do Jalaabhishek comfortably. Department has also made a short film of 12 minutes which is all about “ How to do Jalaabhishek” .

Prior to this,Urban Development Minister,C P Singh inaugurated Rajkiya Shravani Mela 2016 at Dumma, Deoghar.In the opening ceremony, Singh offered prayer with the Pandas.

On this occasion Director ,Department of Tourism, Dr. Krishna Prasad Wagmare, Joint Director Rajiv Ranjan were present with the other guest.
