To commemorate the celebration of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, Tribal Cooperative Marketing Development Federation of India Limited (TRIFED), Ministry of Tribal Affairs, is organizing "Aadi Mahotsav", a Mega National Tribal Festival from 07 to 16 October 2023 at Bistupur, Gopal Maidan, Jamshedpur, Jharkhand. 

Arjun Munda, Union Minister for Tribal Affairs, will inaugurate the event. Joining him will be Smt. Renuka Singh, Union Minister of State for Tribal Affairs, Shri Bishweswar Tudu, Union Minister of State for Tribal Affairs, and other dignitaries. 

 The Aadi Mahotsav Celebrates the Spirit of Tribal Entrepreneurship, Craft, Culture, Cuisine, Commerce and age-old traditional art is an annual initiative of TRIFED and the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India. Aadi Mahotsav celebrates the spirit of tribal entrepreneurship, craft, culture, cuisine, commerce, and age-old traditional art. 

This annual initiative by TRIFED and the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India, serves as a platform to showcase the rich and diverse heritage of tribes across the country. With over 150 stalls, the event will feature art, handicrafts, natural produce, and delectable cuisine. 

The Mahotsav will host around 336 tribal artisans and artists, including Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs) and Van Dhan Kendras beneficiaries. 

Apart from music, art, painting, and cuisines, Aadi Mahotsav offers the opportunity to meet artisans, learn about their way of life, and gain a deeper understanding of tribal culture and traditions. 2023 is the designated International Year of Millets. 

Aadi Mahotsav besides other attractions of handicrafts, handloom, pottery, jewellery, will be showcasing ‘Millets grown by Tribals’. Tribal Cooperative Marketing Development Federation of India Ltd.
