In a meeting of the state Congress committee set up to select candidates for the forthcoming Assembly elections 2019, conflict of interest surfaced. As soon as he entered to attend it, Ex Union Minister Subodh Kant Sahay screamed:"What will I do in this place of 'Lulha-Langra' (disfigured and lacerated) people."

Sahay's statement left Congress leaders including its state unit president Rameshwar Oraon angry. They maintained calm and peace prevailed. In the kist of Mahagama, Sahay sought the inclusion of ex MLA Furkan Ansari's name.

Soon, Furkan Ansari sought to include Sahay as a candidate from Hatia seat. In the list of proposed candidates from Gomia, there is only one candidate.However,from Ranchi 12,Bokaro,12,Hatia 16,Kanke 18 and Dhanbad 20 names figure.From Gumla and Lohardaga, Rameshwar Oraon figures.

This list of proposed candidates are to be evaluated by the Congress high command to release a final list of candidates for the first phase of the Assembly polls 2019.
