West Bengal CM Mamata Bannerjee suffered a major setback as none of her proposals for Presidential candidates were accepted.

Today, former West Bengal Governor Gopalkrishna Gandhi became the third person to decline the Mamata Banerjee-led Opposition parties’ request to be their Presidential candidate.

Earlier, National Congress Party supremo Sharad Pawar and National Conference president Farooq Abdullah had declined to be the Mamata-led Opposition’s joint candidate for the Presidential election set to be held on July 18.
