President Draupadi Murmu, after landing in Ranchi from Deoghar this afternoon, paid floral tributes to Bhagwan Birsa Munda.
She visited the Chowk in Ranchi where the statue of Bhagwan Birsa Munda stands tall and garlanded it.
President Murmu was accompanied by Jharkhand Governor C.P. Ramachandran and Chief Minister Hemant Soren and Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal.
Later, she paid floral tributes to the statue of Lance Naik Albert Ekka, who was posthumously awarded Param Vir Chakra, at Albert Ekka Chowk, centre point of Jharkhand’s capital city Ranchi.
