This was the comment of AIMIM leader Waris Pathan on the killing of the chief of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) Arif Jamal in Siwan.

The victim’s sister-in-law demanded strict punishment for the accused. She also criticised the Sadar Hospital in Siwan for its alleged lack of medical staff when the AIMIM leader was taken to the hospital for treatment.

She asked the government to ensure compensation for AIMIM Siwan chief Arif Jamal's children. Jamal was shot dead by unknown people in Bihar's Siwan district on Saturday.

Jamal, who was the party's district president in Siwan, was rushed to a hospital but died during treatment. The police were investigating the incident and trying to ascertain the reason behind it.

His son, Alkama Arif, recounted the harrowing ordeal to India Today TV, stating that three armed individuals approached the stall where Jamal was, appearing friendly before opening fire and fleeing the scene on their motorcycle.

According to a statement from the Siwan police, Arif sustained a fatal bullet wound to his abdomen at approximately 8:40 pm.

Despite being rushed to Sadar Hospital and then referred to Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh for advanced care, Arif died on the way. The police are yet to make any arrests in the matter.

However, they have announced the formation of a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the murder. An official FIR is expected to be filed once the family provides a written complaint.
