Jharkhand-govt-to-train-5 lakh-youth-under-skill-development-mission

Jharkhand government will train atleast five lakh youth under the Skill Development Mission during the past five years,said the Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Wednesday.

While addressing the meeting on skill development programme of the state government inside Project Bhawan in Ranchi on Wednesday,the CM said:”The youth will be trained keeping in view demands of the market.The priority will be given to youths belonging to the Schedule Caste and Schedule Tribe.”

He said,skill development scheme is the stae government’s top priority and directed the concerned officials to link students,especially above Class IX, with the Skill Development Mission.”This will help them select their career”,he observed.

As it is,the Skill Development is Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s priority scheme.”The people can be connected with job by developing their skill”,said the CM.

The CM disclosed that Jharkhand Skill Development Mission Society,currently associated with the state Labour Department,is going to be attached to Higher Education and Science and Technology Department.”This will help establish a fine coordination with education sector”,he said.

The CM said that to achieve the aim,the state government is starting 500 skill development centres.These centres will be located inside the state government and private run schools,colleges,ITI,Polytechnic,Panchayat Bhawan,etc.

“Through these skill centres,students-both boys and girls- studying in different institutions,educated,non educated,unemployed,skilled and non skilled youths will be trained”,said the CM.

The meeting was attended among others by the state Labour Minister Raj Paliwal,Chief Secretary Raj Bala Verma and Secretary(Labour) MS Bhatia.
