Set up Panchayat Secretariat as soon as possible,said Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das while directing Deputy Commissioners.

Addressing Principal Secretaries,Secretaries,,Divisional Commissioners and Deputy Commissioners in a meeting held inside the Project Bhawan in Ranchi today,the CM said,the DCs were responsible to implement the development and welfare schemes formulated by the state government.

“Because the poor people were worst affected by non- implementation of work in time.Therefore,the DCs should work with a sense of responsibility and sensitivity and ensure that the schemes were implemented in a time frame.”

The CM directed the DCs to prepare a calender and follow it to implement the work.He ‘declared that those officers who are recorded doing good work will be awarded on the state’s foundation day on November 15.

He directed the DCs to complete the work to set up panchahayt Secretariat by end of may.The Panchahayt Secretariat has to comprise four members who were educated male-female.

This Panchayat Secretariat can play a crucial role in preparing,monitoring and implementing the government plans at the ground zero level,observed the CM.
