Jharkhand top brass today paid tributes to India’s first President, Rajendra Prasad on his birth anniversary.
“Tributes to Dr. Rajendra Prasad on his birth anniversary. We remember his exemplary service to our nation,” said the Governor Draupadi Murmu.
Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das,who accompanied the Governor,and former Union Minister Subodh Kant Sahay,also paid tributes to Dr Rajendra Prasad.They offered flowers at the statue of the first President at Dr Rajendra Prasad Chowk in Ranchi.
Born on December 3, 1984, Prasad was elected the first president of the country on January 26, 1950, and he continued serving in the post till May 14, 1962.
