He is Prabhat Kumar.A well known Civil Engineer cum a distinguished writer and photographer,he has agreed to write for the 4.3 of total 5 star accorded news website-  www.jharkhandstatenews.com.We appeal to our readers and viewers to welcome him and read his article after looking at his photographs.   

In brief,Kumar had graduated in 1966 from BIT, Mesra.He retired from service in 2005 from Coal India Ltd with last posting as Chief General Manager (Environment and Civil Engineering) after serving in various capacity in its subsidiary-CMPDI, CCL and WCL.

Also,a humanist -resource person in Management, Engineering and Environment in several Institutes and HRD centers including IICM, Ranchi.

What made him famous worldwide are articles,each carrying his own high powered photograph,authored by him in well known journals including Science Reporter, Saveus and Hornbill(BNHS publication).More,his hobby-Gardening, Philately and Nature photography with focus on Butterflies and Birds of Jharkhand.

Jharkhand Biodiversity Board has published two books on Butterfly containing photographs of Prabhat Kumar.
