Yet another mob lynching case was recorded in Dhanbad where a man died and another was seriously injured due to brutal thrashing by a crowd on suspicion of theft.

The incident took place at a service centre in Govindpur colony on Tuesday night. Both these men were allegedly trying to steal a battery from a truck when its driver saw them and soon shouted for help.

In consequence, a group of people gathered and started thrashing the youths. Reports said the police reached the site after someone alerted them. One of the youth, Akhtar Ansari, was rescued from the violent mob while the other youth, Mubarak Ansari was found dead by the police.

Police have detained five persons in connection with the incident. Incidentally, in June,Tabrez Ansari was brutally thrashed by a mob on charges of stealing a bike. Tabrez had died after a few days of the incident raising worldwide outrage of Muslim organizations.
