Jharkhand government led by CM Hemant Soren tabled the state annual plan budget(2020-21) of about Rs 86,370 crore promising health insurance scheme to those citizens whose annual income was up to Rs 8 lakh.

As per Prime Minister Narendra Modi government's Ayushman Bharat scheme, persons who had ration cards and whose annual income was less than Rs 5 lakh. By just increasing the income slab to Rs 8 lakh, the Soren government plans to include over  90 percent population in Jharkhand.  

The budget plans to supply 100 units of electricity to every consumer in Jharkhand and set up Dialysis centres in all districts on PPP mode and expand the number of Mohalla clinics. Also, it plans to connect 50,000 families with jobs and promote Eco-Tourism. 

The annual budget proposal was tabled on the floor of the newly built Assembly on Tuesday.

Other important proposals were as follows.
1.Rs 2000 crore to be spent on loan waiver scheme of farmers.

2.By amending PM Kissan Phasal Yojna,the state plans to create Jharkhand Rajya Kissan Rahat Fund.

3.Cold storage to be built in every district.

4.Mukhya Mantri Special Scholarship for students scheme.

5.Rs 50,000 to be added in PM Awas Yojna. 

6.Build 5000 houses under Baba Saheb Ambedkar Yojna.

7.Expansion of Ambulance Service.

8.Centre around a government school to promote quality education. 

9.Nursing College to be set up in 10.Lohardaga ,Garhwa,Khunti,Ramgarh,Latehar,Godda and Bokaro. 

10.Central Placement Cell to be set up to coordinate for providing jobs to skilled youths.

11.Plan to create 50000 jobs in tourism sector.

12.300-bed Cancer hospital to be built inside RINPAS campus in kanke,Ranchi.

13.Mobile clinic for animal husbandry.

14.Provide subsidy of Rs 1 lakh to Kailash-Mansarvar visitor.
