*The picture was taken by Drone to show the success story of Gumla where COVID -19 which had killed thousands of people across the globe has not infected anyone of its people. Most of them were tribals.

"No COVID-19 patient figures in our district till date ", said a senior district officer in Gumla.

Gumla district in Jharkhand continues to follow guidelines of the Indian Council of Medical Research in letter and spirit. This seems to have protected its people to suffer from Coronavirus.

This was visible in Bazar Haat where people lined up to buy daily food products. Each one of them was in a mask while maintaining distance from the other on a round circle painted through lime.

"If prevention is better than cure, then we must practice the ICMR's guideline to maintain social distancing", said a school teacher preferring anonymity.

Gumla, a tribal-dominated headquarter of the district, has been witnessing near cent percent lockdown since PM Narendra Modi announced it a month back on March 25.

By maintaining social distancing, the district has succeeded in recording zero COVID-19 impact."We are very happy that this coronavirus has failed to enter into our land", said a businessman who sells stationery products.
