In the wake of Covid-19 outbreak, donations provided by companies and institutions are pouring in Jharkhand. The latest institution is PHIA Foundation partnering with Azim Premji Foundation.

Their representatives handed over medical kits worth Rs. 3.28 crore to the Chief Minister Hemant Soren at Project building as a contribution to the state government to fight against Covid-19. 

The medical kits include 12,700 PPE kits, 20,300 N-95 masks, 5 TruNet machines and 2 Thermo Fisher RNA extractor machines. 

In turn, the Chief Minister expressed gratitude to Azim Premji Foundation and said that with their cooperation, the state will surely win over the fight against Corona Virus. 

The Chief Minister said that the state government is fighting against the Corona menace with all power and resources at its disposal. People from different classes and areas are also coming forward to support the state government in its endeavour.

Representatives of the PHIA Foundation apprised the Chief Minister that about 2 thousand samples can be tested every day with a Thermo Fisher RNA extractor machine. This machine is being installed in RIMS, Ranchi and Itki Arogyashala. 

Also, one thousand samples will be tested per day from the TruNet machine. Both these machines will test 3000 samples every day. In this way the Covid-19 test will be accelerated in the state.

On the occasion, Johnson Topno, Regional Head of the PHIA Foundation and Shri Kamal Chand, Program Coordinator were present.
