The Mumbai based Wankhede Stadium has banned the entry of Bollywood star Shahrukh Khan for his alleged unruly behaviour with some of its staff. But the Ranchi based International stadium owned by Jharkhand State Cricket Association is ready to roll out red carpet to greet him.

In Ranchi, two matches are to be played. Defending champions and Shahrukh Khan owned Kolkata Knight Riders are slated to play two matches of the Pepsi Indian Premier League VI in Ranchi.

As per the schedule,on May 12,Kolkata Night Riders will play against Royal Challengers,Bangalore. Next,it is slated to play against Pune Warriors on May 14.

JSCA Amitabh Choudhary had met the Bollywood star Khan in Kolkata and requested him to come to Ranchi to witness these matches. After Choudhary submitted that since the JSCA’s stadium is second home ground of KKR and it is for the first time its match is going to be held there,he must come.”He( Shahrukh)nodded his head in agreement”,says Choudhary.

Choudhary said that due to the lack of infrastructural problems, the JSCA was unable to host the Mustaq Ali Trophy tournament. Two states-Jharkhand and Chattisgarh were created together in 2000.But today when 26 flights operated from Raipur, there were just eight flights that were operational in Ranchi.Similarly, there is only one big hotel –Raddisson Blu.In absence of many rooms, all players can not be lodged there. This had led the Mustaq Ali Trophy tournament to shift from Ranchi to Indore, laments Choudhary.

Preparations are in full swing to host these Pepsi IPL matches at JSCA stadium.
