On the eve of the 75th Independence Day of the country today, the Press Information Bureau has made public the electrification process undertaken by the Indian Railways since 1951.
In its tweet, it indicates that though the process of electrification of the railways never stopped under any government during this long period, it picked up momentum during the past eight years.
Its tweet states that the Railways has recorded that during the past eight years (2014-22)of the Narendra Modi regime,30,585 route kilometers tracks were electrified.
