They are subject of criticism in public for their loud -mouth statements. They are Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren and his younger brother Basant Soren who have two common political commonalities.
One,they represent two constituencies Barhait and Dumka respectively from Santhal Pargana division of Jharkhand. Two,both of them were were facing the office of profit charges for allegedly misusing their official authority to gain stone mining leases.
Now,the sword of disqualifications hanged over their heads. And two horrifying incidents of crime took place in Dumka, divisional headquarter town of Santhal Pargana where bodies of two Adivasi girls were found hanging from from trees in Dumka.
Against this backdrop, when Basant Soren visited Dumka and a media person asked him where he was when protests took place against the murder of these girls, he replied smilingly saying that he was Delhi to buy “ under garments.”
“Yes, I went to Delhi. Actually,I had run out of under garments. So I went to Delhi to purchase them”, he said smilingly. The news agency ANI has reported it.
Basant Soren’s above statement was proceeded by CM Hemant Soren’s reply saying, “such incidents keep happening”
These questionable responses of Sorens have elicited criticisms in public. “ This exhibits their mindset”, said Deepak Munda, a vegetable seller in Ranchi.
The BJP MP Nishikant Dubey and his party colleague and party’s Tripura Vice President Amit Rakshit, have criticised Basant Soren.
“This is the attitude …where two gruesome murders of little girls took place in last 10 days. No wonder… the criminals there don’t fear law and order!,” tweeted Rakshit.
