In this peak of winter, the low depression over the Bay of Bengal led to a mild decrease in temperature in Jharkhand. The sky looked wrapped in fog and a cold wind was blowing across the state.

As a result, the minimum temperature has dipped from 11-12 to 9-10 degrees Celsius in Ranchi. 

The MET department has predicted that during the next five days, fog and cold wind will continue to blow even as the minimum temperature can rotate between 9-10 degree Celsius in Ranchi and its adjoining areas.
