Two persons were dead and seven others injured Tuesday morning when a running train hit a tractor carrying a group of men and women. 

The incident took place near Sarabha and Daldalia villages under Charhi block in Hazaribagh district at around 7 a.m. today. 

Reports quoting eyewitnesses say that a tractor carrying seven women and two men who were on their way to collect sand nearby was crossing the railway track. 

A passenger train coming from the side of Charhi hit this tractor, reports said. Nine of them including seven women and two men became victims. 

Two of them were dead while seven others suffered injuries. They were undergoing treatment in a nearby hospital.
