Against backdrop of major security breach in the Lok Sabha,meticulous preparations are in place to ensure smooth functioning of the Jharkhand Assembly during its week long winter session December 15-22.

The LS authorities have  overhauled  the security protocols with strict measures to reduce any contact between MPs and visitors. The scene is works were in progress to tighten security cover of law makers inside Jharkhand Assembly premise. 

In the Parliament,separate entrances will be allotted to MPs, staff members, and the press while the visitors will be allowed only from the fourth gate. 

To be sure, the visitor's passes are suspended after the breach and it will take a while before visitors will be allowed back into Parliament. Inside Jharkhand Assembly premise, officers and employees are putting in concerted efforts to facilitate the successful conduct of the session. 

In light of the upcoming session, Speaker Rabindranath Mahato has held an all-party meeting today( 14th December) and discussed the agenda for the six-day winter session. 

Additionally, a high-level meeting with state officials was held on security measures to be adopted for the winter session. Notably, this marks the first time in the fifth Assembly that the Leader of the Opposition was present in this meeting. 

The issue of security measures were addressed in the scheduled meetings, according to Assembly Secretary in-charge Javed Haider. Moreover, considerations were kept in mind for online participation in the session, allowing absent members to submit questions electronically. 

The upcoming session is slated to span six working days, during which the government aims to present multiple bills on the House floor. Of particular note, the Localism Bill, previously returned by the Governor, will be reintroduced for deliberation during this winter session.
