Contractors are exploring ways to challenge the decision of the CM Nitish Kumar-led NDA government in Bihar to cancel  Rs 350 contracts worth Rs 826 crore.

“We are left with no option than to seek justice”, said Satyendra Yadav, one of the contractors who claims to have become a victim of the Nitish Kumar government.

Incidentally, these contracts were awarded during the previous RJD-led 'Mahagathbandhan' dispensation in Bihar for supplying drinking water in rural areas, it is learnt.

The decision to cancel the contracts was taken after an inquiry by the Public Health Engineering Department revealed that there were "irregularities in the process of selecting contractors", a Minister is quoted as having said by PTI news agency.
