The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), probing the NEET question paper leak case, has taken Hazaribagh’s Oasis School principal Ehsanul Haque into custody. 

After taking him into custody after four hours of interrogation, CBI sleuths brought him to the guest house of the Central Coalfields Ltd in Charhi located along the Hazaribagh-Ranchi highway. 

Hazaribagh’s Oasis School principal Ehsanul Haque was allegedly involved in the NEET paper leak where a question paper was found tampered with. The tampering evidence was submitted in a report to the Union Education Ministry, it is learnt.

This report contained complete information about the investigation progress till June 21. The report mentions the evidence and facts as well as the confessional statements of the accused. 

This prompted the Ministry to involve the National Testing Agency (NTA) and hand over the matter to the CBI for further investigation. 

On Tuesday, the CBI submitted a copy of the FIR to the special court in Patna and sought the remand of the accused arrested by the Economic Offences Unit (EOU) of Bihar Police. 

Eight accused have been named in the FIR, including Sanjeev Mukhiya, Sikandar Yadavendu, Amit Anand, Ayush Raj, Nitish Kumar, Rakhi, Akhilesh, and Bittu. 

The CBI is investigating six cases related to the NEET paper leak. Of the six cases, one each is from Bihar, Gujarat, and Maharashtra, while three are from Rajasthan.
