Clouds and drizzle in parts of the state capital on Thursday afternoon brought Ranchiites much-needed respite from the heat. 

The minimum temperature in Ranchi was recorded at 24 degrees Celsius, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). 

In a notification issued at 9.30 am, the IMD said thunderstorms with light to moderate intensity rain, mild to medium rain at isolated places, and winds with speeds of 20-40 kmph would occur over Ranchi and its adjoining areas for the next two to three days.
