Common Service Centres(Called Pragya Kendraa in Jharkhand) are going to gain ground with the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s move to launch Digital India Week in New Delhi on July 1.

As per the announcement made by the Centre,Modi would launch the Digital India week on July 1 at Indira Gandi Indore stadium in Delhi. More than 4000 Common Service Centres’s VLEs have have already registered for this mega launch.

Reports indicate that the PM Modi plans to offer digital locker facility to citizens to help them digitally store their important documents including marksheets,Pan card,Aadhaar Card and so on.

“It will provide an opportunity to Common Service Centres to make available the secure access to save Government issued documents on the basis of Aadhaar”,said a report.

“Digital Locker will provide secure access to Government issued documents. It uses authenticity services provided by Aadhaar,” an official release said today adding:”It is aimed at eliminating the use of physical documents and enables sharing of verified electronic documents acros ..
