Coronavirus casualty has picked up momentum and there appears to be no break in Jharkhand. 

In all, nine persons including one doctor have died on Tuesday-Wednesday. This had increased the number of doctors’ casualties to five. 

The latest doctor to succumb is Dr SK Pal.

Until Wednesday, 26,300 were infected by coronavirus in the state of Jharkhand where many ministers, MLAs and officers had already got infected. Among them, 278 persons had died.

On Wednesday, 827 new Coronavirus positive cases were found. The maximum casualty of 6 persons was reported from East Singhbhum having district headquarters located in Jamshedpur.

In Ranchi, Ramgarh and Bokaro recorded the casualty of one person each. A piece of positive news is that as many as 16,566 persons had recovered.

As of now, there were 9,456 active COVID-19 cases in the state.
