Jharkhand Chief Secretary Raj Bala Verma on Saturday directed the the state Labour Department to directly lodge case at the Court against organisers and employers of the child labour in the state.

Also,the CS directed it to impose and collect Rs 20,000 as fine from organisers/employers of the child labour and deposit the fund in the account of the freed children through the Child Welfare body.

The CS gave these directives in a review meeting with officers of the state Labour Department in Ranchi on August 20,2016.

The CS directed the Labour Commissioners(LCs) to ensure that migratrion of the child labour did not take place in any part of the state.

During the meeting the CS who held video conference and issued directives to officials who informed that the inspections carried out in 3654 areas of the state during the past 15 days,233 child labourers were freed.The inspection is slated to continue during September 1-15.

It became clear that from now on,the action will be launched to locate and end child labour in the state.More,the data base on migrant labourers from tribal districts of Simdega,Khunti and Gumla will be created and 30 ITI will be set up and made function soon.
