As many as  351 servitors and 53 employees of Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri have tested positive for COVID-19.

In all,404 persons engaged in the 12th-century shrine have tested positive for the coronavirus since August, informed Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) administrator Ajay Jena today in Puri.

However, the Lord Jagannath's rituals are being performed as usual despite the absence of so many Corona positive servitors.

As it is, the Jagannath temple was closed for devotees since March due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
